There is a circular red bump under my betta. Its in between those extended fin things. Here are some horrible pics to try and show it.

    Hello ;D

I can't say I see what you're talking about, though that is a nice picture of your ram!

What are the tankmates and water parameters?

I didn't even realize the ram was in that picture. Anyway i. Between the two extended fins (the ones that drop down) there's a red bump.

Tankmates are 3 australian rainbows and 4 Bolivian rams. They're all in quarentine. Ill have to check params tonight but there's an aquaclear 50 as filteration.

It might have just been a little bloating, it happens to bettas a lot.

What are your water parameters? Normally clamped fins mean poor water conditions.

When did you get this betta? Is there anything you've been doing differently with the tank?

The ammo and nitrite are 0 didnt test nitrate. I had him since last week and he died today :(

I'm sorry you lost him :(

He probably had some sickness from wherever you got him- I doubt it's your fault! I recently had 2 bettas that died in a row a few days after I got them. I was worried something was wrong with my tank, but I got a third and he's doing great.

Thanks yall. Should i quarentine an additional 2 weeks since he died? I was going to get my replacement rainbowfish and betta next Wednesday since that would be two weeks, but if i need to do an additional 2 weeks i should probably get them tomorrow.
