Bump On Fish Mouth

The other day I noticed a white "bump" on my rainbowfish's mouth. To me it almost looks like a scale coming off. I just wanted to make sure it was nothing that needed to be treated.

I have attached a picture. The bump has not grown or spread over the past few days, and no other fish in the community appear to have it.

Any clues as to what it may be would be appreciated!

    Welcome to FishLore!

It's hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like if might be Mouth Fungus.

I have six Rainbows and they get this too. My understanding is it's mouth fungus and they get this from eating off the bottom of the substrate. It comes and goes from time to time. They are hardy fish. I've had them for almost two years now and haven't lost one yet. Just keep an eye out if it gets worst.
