Basically I want to make something rubber lined out of wood and I'm looking to see if this idea will work. The dimensions I'm shooting for are 20" x 40". Its going to house least killies, but I'm tired of contlstantly adjusting shims because I'm scared my tank will crack because my floor was made by gremlins. What I'm thinking is use 2x10s for the bottom, 2 side by side, the length of it. The sides will be 2 2x10 rectangles stacked on top of each other. The 4 corners will have 2x4s vertically to secure and screws in every edge and corner to make sure its snug. I'll then line the inside with cardboard followed by a rubber liner, nailed into the top edge, with a 2x4 trim around the top to hold it. Does this sound good?
