    Hello all,

I am in the process of planning a build for a 375gal plywood/acrylic tank. I would like some ideas of what to stock, definitely I want to have an Arowana in there. What other options would you guys recommend? Also what should I watch out for and what mistakes should I avoid in this build/set up.

You don't want any hard scape in the tank no rocks or driftwood arowana are jumpers

If i had a large tank, I would keep black ghost knifefish :) I really like the way they look!

Although I did not check if it is compatible with arowana :(

I was thinking to maybe have centerpiece something that would be less than half the height of the tank, that way it wouldn't get in the way of the Arowana swimming/jumping/landing zone.

Do so at your own risk I think just some awesome foliage would look fantastic also you need the right amount of current for him or hills will curl. Is what I've been told

Oh man, I wonder what inspired this response. :( :( :( (Actually Joey posted this morning that the big guy is getting better)

375 would be just barely enough for a silver arowana, but not Asian. Asian grows to 3 feet. Given, I'm assuming your 375 would be at least 8 feet long.

I'd also suggest a nice gar or a bichir, obviously not together though.

Well obviously in a 2000 gal hardscape doesn't become an issue, but in a 375 it's a whole different story you also loose swim space.

Had some time to really look at the space available and some negotiation with the wife. Tank will now be about 520 gal max cap so really let's say 450 ish. The inner tank dimensions will be 100" x 30" x 40".

So definitely an Arowana and a gar. They will get along right?

I have no experience there but sounds like an amazing tank

A Asian arowana can go in a 375 at least.

Maybe do a stingray? I really like them and that's what I would do.

    LOL right?? :)

If this was my tank, I'd be asking how many common goldfish I could get away with. :)

Sting Ray's to then. All of a sudden tank is looking like Joey's lol

I don't know about compatibility but I love the look of polypterus. Maybe a bichir could look really cool
