Bug Spray

So we've got some bugs in the house and having a bug guy come tomorrow. I have all of my fish tanks in my bedroom and we haven't seen any bugs in there so the bug guy won't be going in my room. I'm not sure whether he is going to use a spray or powder. Either way I'm turning on the fan and opening my window as well covering the tank in 2-3 towels. Any other ideas? I read on a different form to use plastic as well. Will a trash bag work?

When I flea bombed our house I put a couple garbage bags over my tanks an then a heavy blanket. All my nets and stuff I put on the hood as well as the air pumps and covered everything.

Question for you - how long could you leave a tank like that? I am getting quotes on spray insulation - just cellulose but they say humans and animals must vacate the premises for 24 hours. I have 7 tanks now and shudder at the prospect of moving them.

Sorry to OP for semi-hijack.

I shut off my air pumps but left my filters running. So I guess till you had to feed the fish. I had mine covered probably close to 24 hours.
