Buenos Aires Tetra with Eggs?

So one of my Buenos Aires tetras had what looked like a clump of eggs hanging directly below its analfin. It was swimming around with those eggs for several hours, and now they're gone. What's left is a red patch, and the analfin is about half as long as it was before. Is this the way they lay their eggs or is something else going on here?

Buenos Aires Tetras are egg scatterers. The female launches the eggs all over the tank. Your situation seems a little odd. As long as she's eating and otherwise acting normally, probably no worries.

Pics always help in any situation as A201 said as long as their eating and swimming around they should be fine.

Everything seems fine, the fin’s going back to normal and the red patch is smaller now. Thanks!
