I want to breed Red Cherry Shrimp. I'm setting up a 10gal planted tank with an internal filter and a double sponge filter. What about a bubble curtain or air stone? I can't remember if they like water movement or not and can't find where I read about it.

I honestly wouldn't bother...I don't think they are too picky, but I don't think there is any reason to get either...I like to save money. All my cherry shrimp has is a 10 gallon, lots of plants, a piece of driftwood, fake rock cave and a basic sponge filter.

Shrimp don't like too much flow so I'd not bother with an airstone.
If all you're having in the tank is shrimp then you don't really need the internal filter, the sponge filter will be enough filtration for them & you won't have to worry about shrimplets being sucked into the filter, they'll also feed off the insuforia on the sponges
