Does anyone know if brown spots developing on my anubias nana is problematic? I went away for 5 days and when I came back home I noticed my nana has brown spots!

sounds like it could be diatom algae...can you get us a pic? diatoms are algae in tanks that are newly setup ..and can go for up to a year in the tank....not to mention it could be bite marks from the goldies...but probably more like diatoms

Hello. I agree with Shawnie that it could be diatoms and should rub off with your fingers. If it doesn't rub off then the plant may have problems. A link you may find helpful

Thank you. I rubbed it off with my fingers...and I noticed that only the 2 leaves that receive the most sunlight and artificial light had the spots.
