Recently I made a post about a rust-like residue on the walls and plants of my 20 gallon. I was told they were harmless brown diatoms that would leave soon. But it keeps coming back, and now every single one of my Anubias have died, with a thick green algae growing on my Java ferns. My other plants + fish seem fine, but I'm confused and scared, I don't know how to fix this, help

You need to scrub the diatoms off and use your fingers to clean the leaves off the plants or a very soft toothbrush. It will stop soon i promise i just got rid of mine after scrubbing for a month..i have graduated to green algae lol.
