Is this brown algae on my anubias and tubing going to my air stone? My tank has had fish in it now for about 4/5 months and I read that this is when you start seeing algae growing in your tank, when it is completely cycled. I added 3 nerite snails last night to help eat some algae. Is there anything else I should do besides normal tank maintenance?
Excuse the dirtiness of my tank floor, tomorrow is my cleaning day

Adding more live plants will help. They absorb the available nutrients in the water column and will outcompete the algae. I had a cichlid tank prior to my planted tank. I would have to scrub brown algae (diatoms) from all surfaces every couple of weeks or so. Since I changed to a planted tank, I have had zero brown algae

And good water circulation helps them from sticking to the glass.
