Broken tank still hold humidity

Will a tank with a crack side still hold humidity for a emersed setup? It 24x12x12 and it's cracked from the 12 side from top straight bottom.

If it goes all the way through the glass, probably not super well. Might be able to silicone the crack though for that. Would just replace if completely full of water, though.

Silicone on the crack will stop you cutting your fingertips. Put silicone on both sides and nobody else will cut themselves ether
