So I started feeding Dyson my BN some zucchini. I steamed some about two nights ago and set some aside without seasonings and such. Dyson usually hides most of the day, but the cories who seem to think their best option is to be active during the day also love them. The cories don't seem to eat much, last night Dyson ate basically the entire skewer of zucchini, the cories probably had some but not much. This morning I changed out the veggies for the fish, Dyson was upside down, chewing on the veggies for so long I could have sworn that he might be dead...LOL. Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried things like carrots for their Cories and BN? I was wondering if it's ok to give them steamed carrots, I doubt a raw one would work out well considering how hard they are.

Yes carrots, green and red peppers, no salt canned or fresh green beans, spinach, peas. Pretty much any green veggie. I just blanch them or feed raw. My BN likes the peel best on zucchini. She eats that first then eats the inside. I cut it up raw and freeze it. When it thaws it is soft.

The freezing is a great idea. Zucchini is the favorite. With peas, do you cut them up or is there the danger that they may choke?

I cut the Zuck up and freeze it on a plate separated then when frozen put it in a bag. Or else they stick together. Peas you want to thaw or blanch then remove the shell. I don't think they will choke on them any more than anything else.

I have put so much Zuk in it's not even funny! My BN will chase my cories off if they try to steal his zuk (he might just want to eat the peel idk)
