Bristlenose Pleco Cholla wood help

TobeyTheBetta

Hey guys and gals of fishlore! So I recently got back into the hobby and wanted to get a bristlenose for my 50gal aquarium. I remember that they needed driftwood in their diet and I was wondering if I could just give the pleco Cholla wood, since it is the only wood that is most available to me? I'd like to use cholla because it won't hinder the aquascape I'm trying to go for.

Also does anyone have any experience with Cholla wood? I heard that it would rot in the water, is this true? Also I'm mainly getting the Cholla wood from Amazon.

Thank you for the help!!

Have you checked out other online sources. I've been using buceplant for all my hardscape. They have a nice selection. Im sure you could find a nicer selection OFF Amazon.
