Help!
I have a pair of breeding bn catfish in a community tank, I haven't seen any behavioural problems with them until now.

They stay in a nook in a decoration, and i found they had gotten a live swordtail stuck with them in there, once i got it out, the swordtail came out with most of its tail eaten, it is now struggling to swim. Is this normal? The swordtail is an okay size, about 4cm.

Now I'm worried this will happen again, i don't know what to do!

Yikes....I'm going to guess the sword tail was caught sleeping....or more likely...already dying. That would be very strange for them to capture a healthy fish in that manner. So I think the swordtail may have already been weak.

But not impossible! Sorry that happened . How big is the tank?

Thanks, those could be possibilities, and our tank is 130L with about 11 other fish
