Breeding snails and ghost shrimp together?

So i went to the pet store to get some snails to feed to my dwarf puffers n the lady said she gave me a few big ones so they could breed. I decided instead of letting them breed in my tanks that i would breed them on their own. Some of the research i did mentioned having ghost shrimp in their snail tanks. i know they can clean each others waste as well. so will they both flourish or what might happen if i mix ghost shrimp and a mixture of snails or a certain type of snail maybe? i think right now there are Malaysian trumpet snails, ramshorn, a pest snail of some kind and 1 mystery snail.

Well first off neither eats waste. Both eat food designed for them. They do clean up left over food too. As far as having both you can if you want but either would breed just fine without the other. So if you want only snails go for it.

Ghost shrimps do eat waste, and Malaysian trumpet snails do too. I've seen my ghost shrimps eating fish and snail poop and it fills up their gut. My MTS swarm on fish poop as well.

Breeding them together is a good idea.

Lol there are two sides-people who say they have seen theirs eat waste and those who say its nonsense. Either way it doesn't really matter because the eaten waste would be replaced by more waste, it might make it easier for bb to digest but it won't make a significant difference.

Thank you for the replies! We are really new to this and trying really hard to learn but there is a lot to learn and a lot of different information. I would like to breed them together. Any other advice would be great!
