Breeding/pairing Question - Kribensis

I've had a male krib for over a year and just got a female krib last Sunday. When we first put her in the tank, the male was interested. He was nipping at her and following her and trying to lure her over to his cave, but now it seems to have stopped and he has no interest in her. He just stays in his cave all day and doesn't even bother with her anymore. Is this normal or do I need to get another female to see if he'll pair off with one? Not sure how to go about it.

Less than a week isn't enough time in my opinion for a new fish to really settle in. I would give it some time. If you really have a male and female they'll likely pair off together regardless if the conditions are right.

Good to know. I got all excited then he was all like "Meh" and just went back into his hole. LOL!

Sounds pretty normal Its a whole new world for her tho, she probably isn't acting very interested in him quite yet. Just give them a bit of time!

Thanks! I will do that. I hear they are prolific breeders, so I'm sure I'll have tons of fry when they finally get acquainted.
