breeding koi angels

    last week my  2 koi angel starting breeding :D,there was a lot of eggs,i seperated them from the rest of the tank,but after a day or so the mam and da ate all the eggs,is this normal ? ???
    When do the start breeding again? ???
    Should i seperate them from the rest of the tank so they can get it on? ???

    240 litre
    2 koi angels,3 rainbows,2 cory,1 pleco,3 platys,1 knight goby,1 bala shark,1 red tailed shark,2 golden gouramis  ,3 dwarf gouramis

    They will frequently eat the  eggs the first couple of times as they are just learning to be parents. Also being with other fish will sometimes make them nervous and they will eat them.
    if you want them to breed successfully you really need to have them in a seperate tank, preferably at least a 20 G. I leave mine about 3 or 4 days free swimming and then remove the parents.
