So far he is the only one to venture above the rim of the tank, the oscar wants too but as soon as he gets inside the vase at the bottom he just looks up and stares, so I put a small water lettuce in the top of the vase to coax him to the top only to find the blood parrot chiclid is kicking it in there.

Wouldn't an oscar just eventually either get stuck or not fit in the vase?

Lol, yes eventually, he amd the chiclid will not be in here forever, the oscar will go in the 135 gallon tank and hopefully by then I will have a 300 gallon+ tank for the rest of my hoard.
