Hello! I have acquired a 65 gallon tank, with a 300 watt heater, Aqueon EX70 filter, and several decorations and caves. Wondering if you think it is suitable to stock the following fish, and if they will get along:
2 BP cichlids
8 dwarf neon rainbowfish
5 yoyo loaches

Thank you!

I personally would say one blood parrot. All the other fish I don't know about stocking them but I'd say just one blood parrot

Rainbows and yoyos should be fine with the parrot. I agree with Kobobird and would only do 1 parrot in that tank. No other cichlids. Though I would be concerned about yoyos in that size tank. yoyo's can get large and are quite active. I'd consider something like zebra loaches instead.

Eventually you may want to look into upgrading to a 4 foot tank. Depending on the genetics of said parrot, they can reach 8-9 inches and at that length they will need a 55-75 gallon. Though some fail to ever attain that size and stop right around 6-7 inches. Though a tank with an 18x36 footprint should give it a nice home for a good many years.

I think you've got a bit of room still. If you wanted to bump those zebra loaches up to 6 or 8 I think it would be good. They do better with increased numbers.
