Bolivian Stressed?

Got a Bolivian Ram yesterday and I'm wondering if this darker coloration is a sign of stress? I'm guessing yes from what research I've done. Is there anyway to help him out? Turning out the lights seems like the easiest way. Parameters are good, nitrate around 10 at the moment.

He's had the sunken belly since I got him and I rarely see him eat (TetraColor Tropical Granules). I bought garlic guard anticipating this but I'm wondering if it's too early for that?

First pic is day I got him and second is today.

For whatever reason, these fish are just very susceptible to internal parasites, which I think is what you’re dealing with. Observe closely and watch for either white poop, or the worst, sharp red worms protruding from the anus.

I hope that's a worst case scenario. I'll keep an eye on him and if I suspect it is parasites what steps would I take to help him out?

AquaticJ it was way too early for me this morning to realize that wasn't coming from it's vent so it's probably some external parasite thoughts?
