Bolivian Ram Question

HI so I got some Bolivian rams today and one of them is missing some colours (particularly he is missing the black bands above and below his eyes) I have a picture of one of the other rams to compare just how different he is. I understand that these are pretty juvenile so could that be a factor? Thanks to everyone who responds!

It might be stress, fish tend to loose colors when stressed. Since you just got them, its pretty much normal for them to be abit stressed and need time to settle in.

Agree with above. Give them time to colour up a bit more usually takes about 2-3 days. Also if one is female, she'll likely be less colourful than the male.

GlamCrab kayla.s thanks for the replies! Stress was my initial thought but I wasn’t sure because all the others have their colours so vibrant already. Is it worth getting a stress coat?

I wouldn't say so. It's normal that a fish is a little stressed when first introduced to a new environment. As long as the fish is swimming and the fins aren't clamped and they're eating I'd say it's all good and to just wait a few days
