Hi all!
Are BN plecos compatible with all plants? Are there certain plants they are and aren't compatible with? Thanks!

I have 1 and he never bothers my plants,

I have 7 different types of plecos in a 125, 2 in a 55 and 1 in a 20 and none of them go after my plants.

Never had plecos but I heard they really like to chew on leafy stem plants like swords.

I have swords with BN. No issues. They don't eat any of my plants

That’s good to know! I’ve always dreamed of keeping a pleco in a jungle tank

Thanks everyone! I think it'll be fine because I'll letting the plants settle in for a few months before adding the pleco

Depends on the pleco. BN plecos are mostly harmless to plants and actually help control algae. I've had 3 BNs in 3 moderate to heavily planted tanks with no issues for at least a few years. I had a single L128 Blue Phantom (4") destroy 4-5 12"+ sword plants in a couple of weeks.

I just started breeding my BNs and picked up 4 long fin lemon blue eyed plecos to breed. My regular brown BNs had about 40% albinos.
