Blue Zebra Angelfish

hey y’all,
I just got this baby blue zebra angelfish about 1-2 weeks ago. He’s been fine up until 2 days ago. He’s been hovering all over my house (only behind it) and not moving from their, I dropped a bunch of food in his area to see if he would move to get it but he was still all up in that house. Is this weird behavior for them or is it just me?
Also. That house is one that my daddy albino pleco likes to spend most of his time in and there have been 2 sets of eggs laid in that house before by my plecos. Do you think that the angelfish is trying to get in and eat the eggs? Idk it’s just super odd behavior to me

 

He does look very interested in those eggs. I'd this his usual level of activity? If so he's doesn't look particularly inactive, just not terribly active either. He's probably still just trying to establish a territory and maybe he's trying that place?

 

Well that’s the thing I don’t know if there are eggs in that house right now, I don’t want to upheave it to check lol cause daddy pleco freak s out when I do that. No, he’s not like “sick” swimming it’s just so odd that he hangs in the back of the house just nibbling the edges. Jean not the only angel In my tank, I have 2 full sized ones and 1 other just a touch bigger than him.

Also, the eggs are normally inside the house tucked into a corner or something, I haven’t seen him in it

 

If there's larger angels in the tank, there's a very good chance he's just trying to find his own little safe space

Found him dead about 30 min ago, being eaten by a snail

 

Oh no! I'm so sorry I don't know what his issue was....

I was thinking he was trying to hide. It's weird for an angel to be so low in the tank. Anyway, so sorry he passed.
