Can somebody tell me the gender of my blue Rams.
These are them
Can you get some more side-on pics?
I don't know but I want some......
They are beautiful fish!
Top one looks female.
Sorry I couldn't get a better pic
I would say top one looks female and bottom one looks male. In my male female pair, the female has a nice and bright pink body, thinner body type, and shorter, less orange ventral fins. The bottom one seems to have longer, more orange ventral fins to me. Does either seem pinkish?
Are they electric blues? I had a female and a male but i had to return the female because she killed 4 of my cardinals. Here she is before I returned her
And here are both of them
You can see how bright her belly is in the first one.
Here is another one
Thank you for that I was thinkIng the top one was the female and the bottom male. I'm not really sure which ones they are they were just labeled as blue Rams they were like 7 a piece. Have to get my fish from petco and such because there's no real fish store near meThanks for all the help guys.
None of the pictures on this page are electric blue Rams.
Yeah i couldnt tell because it was kind of dark and i was looking at them in bed
These were the best pics I could get if anyone can mark in stone their actual genders
Top female, bottom male.... marked in pencil, not stone. chromedome52 might have a better idea...
Ok thanks again
I would tend to agree with hampalong, including the part about not etched in stone. They do not look like quality fish at the moment, but if fed good food and given proper care, who knows.
If there is any blue spots in the black spot it's female. Males have no spots inside the black spot.
Those are amazing looking!
That's not a reliable way to sex unfortunately.
