Im worried about my blue mickey mouse platy. I just got her yesterday and she has a dark spot below her belly, plus she is a little chubby. ImageUploadedByFish Lore Aquarium Fish Forum1436136539.627371.jpg

I always let my platy girls birth in the tank, NOT in a breeder net, if there are lots of hiding places you'll have surviving fry, if not most will get eaten by the adults. When they're born feed them flake food crushed up almost into dust. Try to sink their food for the first week or so since it often takes them that long to figure out eating on the surface.

Same, she looks like she has a little while. Not all of them square off btw. My girls always spend more time hovering in place at the top or bottom of the tank for a few days before giving birth.
