Blue Gularis Killifish

HI everyone,
I’m stocking a 29 gallon community tank and have fallen in love with the Blue Gularis. It would go into a tank with 2 plecos less than 4 inches, tetra, and possibly others. I’ve been getting conflicting reports on the aggressiveness of the Blue Gularis. Honestly all I want is a Blue Gularis that won’t murder my Starlight Bristlenose Pleco because she is irreplaceable. So I guess my question is does anyone have experience with these fish in a community tank or experience with them in general? Can I keep a Blue Gularis without risking my Starlight?

I don't think I would risk it. Fact is, unless the Tetras are quite large, the Blue Gularis will try to eat them. They spawn in the substrate, so a catfish that is living in their breeding area is going to get harassed for certain.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. The tetra are probably 2-2/2 inches. Will the spawning thing matter if I only have a male though? Also the pleco will have lots of rocks and some driftwood and she tends to hide most of the time unless she’s eating algae or a cucumber. And she’s very fast. I really want this fish lol

The male killie will want to patrol a territory whether there's a female present or not. You do know that they can get 6 inches SL, right?
