Blue green Algae

Landozer18

Hey all,

I appear to have BGA
Could my white substrate be helping helping with the algae growth?
Every Sunday I do a tank 30-50% water change and after sucking all the BGA off the rocks that I can the tank is sooo bright with the lights on

Is it Cyanobacteria? Does it have a very strong smell?
If so here an article on how to get rid of itThe Causes and Cures of Cyanobacteria or Blue-Green Slime Algae

I think it is Cyanobacteria going by the pictures.
I haven't noticed any smell but I don't have the best sniffer.
I threw out all my live plants as it was taking them over.
It seems to really take over the white gravel.
