Hello
I was thinking about getting a blue crayfish bit would it get along with my betta i have a bit of a taller tank so I thought that it would not be a problem but Im not sure so I was wanted to ask let me know if you know anything about crayfish and betta interactions.

I have a 20 gal flugal hexagon tank with only a betta and two mystery snails.(not sure of exact measurements and not currently at home so can't mesure.)

The crayfish will most likely rip at the bettas fins, and even attack and kill the betta when it's sleeping. Not a good mix.

I would suggest something else, all crayfish get large (except dwarfs, but those can do as much damage), 6 inches isn't unheard of for blue crays. Even fed crayfish will go after slow fish, inverts, and plants. (plants and sponge filters get the business end and are quickly destroyed). the longer betta fins will be too tempting to even a dwarf cray.

Thanks everyone for your advice I will not pair the two.
I may be able to find separate tanks for them
