Blue Cichlid - What Cichlid Is This?

    What species of cichlid is this? It was in a tank with yellow labs. Is this some kind of colour variation?

    Its a Mbuna, not sure of the exact name

    Looks like a blue zebra. I hope you don't plan on putting it with those rams, it will likely kill them as it matures. They reach about 5in, females a bit smaller, and mbuna are considered the most aggression group of African cichlids. Plus they like to eat plant material and your planted tank will end up a tasty salad.

    Thanks. Will move them in with my yellow labs. I was wondering why they seemed so infatuated with my plants.
