Blood parrots and convicts?

I have 2 blood parrots and a rainbow shark in a 55 gallon. Who it be OK to add 1 or 2 convicts? What fish can go with the blood parrots?

 

I don't see the harm in it but convicts are pretty mean . So it could work but its risky esp if you get a pair

 

I have three juvie and two adult convicts in with my 4 blood parrots. just make sure the blood parrots are already larger than the convicts you are adding bc I had one BP smaller than my male convict and he killed him the other day. other than that instance I have had no problems with the living group

 

Would a male or female convict be better for the tank?

 

females are definitely better
