Hey - a coworker is giving away a 55 gal tank w a blood parrot cichlid, pleco, cat fish, and an unknown fourth.

I'm pretty sure the blood parrot has something wrong with it's gills, possibly an infection. I searched couldn't find any conclusive answers on parrots with a similar condition. What do you guys think?

Also, what kind of fish is in the 3rd pic?

Maybe Anchor worms? Just a thought. Google it.

They don't look like anchor worms in the pic.

The only related issue I saw was on a different forum but they couldn't figure out what it was.

Hmm..very interesting. Never heard of something like that. If your parrot is acting normal and eating fine and no other fish seem effected, then I’d say it’s exactly what this link shows. I don’t have any answers but maybe someone will chime in. Good luck.
