Good morning,

I just went down stairs to turn on my room lights in the fish room. I like to turn on the room lights before my tank lights come on so the brightness of the tank lights doesn't startle my fish.

I looked into my 33 gallon long holding tank with the 4 Bloody Parrot juveniles and found one lying completely on its side under the heater. I thought oh nooooo! :'( I thought for sure it was dead.

I stuck my hand in the tank to remove the fish and come to find out it was sleeping! LOL When the fish moved and swam away it startled me! Nawty fish! Daddy made a splash!

I'm just glad it's alive. Whew!!!! lol
Not a good way to start the day but I'm sure it's going to get better!
Have a good day everyone!

Lol! I had the same thing happen when my Oscar was smaller. I couldn't sleep, came into the sitting room during the night and saw Brute lying on his side, half under a rock. I thought he was dead, went to get him out and ended up getting very wet! I'm sure your day will get better Ken.

Thanks Nick, Ilovee!

I didn't get soaked this time but they haven't had breakfast yet.
Just water on the floor and my socks! lol

Everyone had breakfast and all of the fish are doing well.

Isn't it such an awful feeling thinking and seeing that you may have lost a fish? My heart sank there for a minute.

My catfish are good at scaring me like that!!!!! They are such lazy guys and always hiding in something, except the pictus. Hope you recover Ken, and at least you have a good story to tell, with a happy ending!!!
