Bloated tummy

Sweetacious

I just got 6 new male guppies for a 10 gallon tank. This little guy had no issues with his tail yesterday, and now he has a couple tears and nips, he his flappy his arms, and has a bloated tummy. Should I quarentine him? Would he need a heater? I have one in the aquarium, but I didn't think to buy a spare.

Welcome!
For his stomach, don't feed for a couple of days unless there's fry in the tank.
What are your water paramaters?
The heater's probably not the issue, but do you have a thermomater in the tank?

Hm, ok, water is looking fine-ish. What's the stocking of the tank, tank size, and water change schedeul?

I set the tank up 3 weeks ago. 10 gallon. They were put into the tank last Thursday. 6 male guppies. In the morning I feed them flakes and at night either freeze dried baby shrimp or freeze dried blood worms. 3 plants. It also looks like there may be some bullying. I don't have anything sharp and some of their tails look nipped. Here is a pic of fish with a tear and my tank. The guppy that doesn't look to well is sitting on the heater.

This all is ok, do you do water changes? also maybe cut down on the night feedings for a while. Male guppy bullying can be normal, I've found it mostly happens to me with overstocking. Yours is overstocked, barely. I've heard 5 in a ten gallon is good. fast for a few days, then feed some frozen daphina.

I just did a water change. I haven't even had these guppies for a week. After work I notice his tail was nip almost half way off and another guppy nipping at him. I separated him and put him in a 3.5 gallon tank.
