i have a female betta I’ve had for almost a year now and she was totally healthy until about a month ago she started getting really big I do not over feed she was living in a 10gallon but I switched to a 5 gallon so I could keep a better eye on her and try to treat her better but she’s getting worse. Is there any way I could help her or is it to late? Please help idk what to do at this point

Could possibly be dropsy. Do her scales look like they're sticking out a little bit?

Can you tell us the results of tests for ammonia, nitrite and nitrite? what is the temperature in the tank? What do you feed and how much?
Unfortunately it looks like pretty advanced dropsy, there is no cure. It sounds like she had a better life then many.
I had a fish with dropsy once, I treated him like normal until it stopped eating, and then I humanly euthinized him.
Once again sorry!

She has fluid buildup issues causing dropsy (I see distinct pineconing) and popeye. Fill out the emergency template

Thank you after some replies here and on Reddit I had to make the horrible decision of putting her down watching her suffer only coming up to breath was hard on me and definitely her as well but thank you for your help

So sorry for your loss...:( You did the right thing for her, though. Once they reach a certain point, quality of life is basically gone.

Again, so very sorry!!!!!
