Hello I recently was quarantining my male betta fish after I noticed his fins looking rough one month prior to this I was treating him for what seemed to be velvet this was done in its tank (6 gal fluval edge) btw he's by himself except for some tiny menace snails that hitched from some plants. Water parameters are 0,0,20 ; ph.6.8 ; temp 82-84. After first treatment finished, shortly after I noticed him going downhill as far as how he looked. His appetite has been great not hiding but began flashing so I moved him to a 2 gallon quarrying tank when upon entering I took my jewelry magnifier to look at his scales and gills. SO upon putting him in quarantine I notice a blackish worm slithering out from his gill covers. I'm sorry but it grosses me right out!
Now I notice black pits all on its face I can use my magnifier with him moving far from my vision but if I'm right the small black bits have critters in them and possibly in between his eyes! Please help I'm going to do a fomalin dip and salt dip soon if I do t hear otherwise. Right now I have him in a bettavive bath.
