Black Spotted Eel - Mastacembelus dayi

    This eel is amazing and may rival the fire eel IMO. Has anyone had any experience, or even seen these? What are your thoughts on combining species? For example, a fire eel with one of these (of course in a big tank). My guess is luck and getting them both young would be your only chance.

    I've never had a black spotted eel, but he looks gorgeous!! From what I read, they can be territorial, but they are not highly territorial and yes, a large tank would be needed. If you get one, I hope you know pictures are a MUST!

    lol, of course pictures. I was more dreaming of tanks and eels are my favs, behind puffers. So this isn't actually happening sadly.

    This thing is like a leopard snake, it's amazing.
