Black Phantom Tetras and Rams?

So i'm REALLY starting to like Black Phantom Tetras. Mostly admiring them every time I visit my LFS. Not something i'm going to add to my existing tank anytime soon (adding them would greatly overstock my tank so I cannot get them) but definitely a species i'm keeping in mind for the future.

Just curious on peoples thoughts about them that have experience with them.
How many have you kept together in your tank?
what other fish have you kept with them if in a community tank?
any likes or dislikes?
I love Rams just as much. Anyone house them with Rams?

 

Keeping about 10 in a communitytank.
No issues what so ever.
Only thing I noticed they are more active in warmer water. So together with Rams is a good idea to.me.

awesome. and that's good to hear regarding temps.. Right now I have 8 espeI rasboras with my 2 Rams in a 20 gallon so I unfortunately cannot add the Black Phantoms.. Definitely considering for a future tank.

ha no worries! those are same as Black Skirt Tetras, right? I believe those are quite similar to the Phantoms as well.

Yeah onky think the ones you're looking for are more schoolers than these guys.

 

Black Phantom Tetra temperature is 20 - 28C according to Seriously Fish.
