10 Gallon Tank Black neon tetras?

Could I keep 5-6 black neon tetras in my 10 gal tank with my female betta? She is not aggressive towards other fish, she just ignores them... I just want to make sure the tetras would not be crowded... I already have 3 in a QT that I rescued, and was hoping to keep them instead of have to rehome them.

 

Black neons are too large for a 10.

 

then I suppose I shall rehome them...

 

A 20 long would be nice.... and you'd have a much better chance with the betta. The black neons are not nippy at all, and school very well.

 

I wish.. LOL I already have 10 tanks set up in one room... I don't know if I could fit another 20 gal.
