Hi

I have just seen a BGK and they are so cool. What I really wanted was to know some more about them.

Would they get on with my fish?
How big do they get?
Would they be ok in my 55 gal?

Tried looking on google but m on my phone and thought I'd get better info here.

Thanks
Paul

They would eat your fish, and can get 20 inches long. I wouldn't get one in your tank, although I agree with their awesomeness.

Sorry my bad I'm using my iPhone small text combined with bad eyes equals deleted posts.

Thanks for info though, such a shame they are really cool. Maybe I need another tank.

Get a 90. Then you could have a BGK and post loads of pictures, and I can be jealous.

Oh, and Lucy deleted your extra post, you didn't. When you have questions, it is best to start your own thread rather than posting in someone else's, and only ask the question once rather than opening up multiple threads about the same topic.

I made the mistake (not really) of getting a juvie BGK shortly after I got my 55 up and running. I thought it was cool and didnt do alot of research before I got it.

The thing is now about 12 inches long and I will be looking for a new home for it.

It has never bothered any of the other fish in the tank to include platy fry.

I guess since I got it when it was small and its always been in a community tank that its well behaved or mabye I just got lucky.

Besides the couple of platies I have in there I would bet its the friendliest fish in that tank.

Let's not hi-jack Scanlon's thread.

If anyone has care info to share, I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Thanks
