Black Corys - anyone kept this species?

Hello,

Has anyone kept this species? Will they mix well with other Corys, and how are they with slightly higher temperatures? I don't know much about them but I found some of Masterfisch and thought about ordering some.

Cheers,
Andy

I’ve kept them & bred them ( some pics in my album) & their behaviour is just the same as all corys, very peaceful & social with their own kind.
Mine were kept around 24c but they can handle higher temps though personally I wouldn’t keep them permanently at the top end.
Some info here

That's cool. I've persuaded my partner to let me try and breed some Corys and I'm also going to try breeding some Zebra plecos once we have the garage set up suitably.

Have you ever used that site by any chance? They're the only place I can seem to find the black species.

They are often offered as Venezuela Black.
Maybe that's why.

Incorrect name btw !

I actually knew that bit - I've just never seen them online. :/
