Hello gang...

we will be setting up a new 46g tank within the week.
we would like to put all black, white, and silver fish in this tank.

any suggestions... :-\

I would like to start with silver dollars and go from there...

(we also do not want to add convicts, angels or livebearers as we already have those fish in other tanks)

Yea - They can be solid, spotted, striped... as long as they are those colors. We liked the black ghost knife, but we read that it gets to be over a foot long... I am still researching that. We also liked skunk loaches. We also have a pictus cat we may relocate from another tank... so... we are still in the planning and research stage, but I thought we could get some great ideas here... before we make final decisions.

They are awsome little guys... I love the coloration!

But... the site says they need brackish water or will be sickly. Because I want a community of b&w fish, I don't think I will do a brackish tank as there are more freshwater fish that we liked. We are still researching though... so I'm not going to rule it out entirely!

Great Pick CO!

So far, in the B&W theme, we like : Silver Dollars, Skunk Loaches, Panda Barbs and Black Stripe Dwarf Cichlids

We haven't decided which one out of the group we will build around yet... if any :-\:-\:-\:-\:-\:-\

No worries CO. There has been an awful lot of stuff going on over here and being undecided is a welcome state of mind...

Ive got a few more things to add to the new tank and then Ill post a pic. I still haven't found a background, I need to add a bubbler and I have to pick up a root decoration that, in my haste this morning, neglected to add to my cart of stuff. JEEZE!
