75 gallon

6 3” electric yellows
6 2.5” damasoni

tank cycled for this load

purchased and coming intoday

Thought these would be 2.5” but turnout to be 4”!!!

will I be able to get through this cycle?? What do you recommend. Plan to change water bases on amonnia. Thought I would under feed initially.

will I crash and burn? What do you guys recommend.?

You can count the sponge out of the equation because that will take a little to get established.
However, I think you will be fine. That is definitely a pretty large increase though so keep a close eye on everything. You may need to do some WCs until your BB can adjust.
How Large do all of these fish get? 21decently sized cichlids/fish in a 75 seems like a lot

The introduced fish today will be 4 to 5”
High loading to curb aggression and make pretty viewing

The Zebras & Rusties are nearly full grown at 4" inches. The DemasonI 3.5" inches & Yellow Labs 4" - 5".
The tank needs a maxed out population in order to dilute territorial aggression. IMO, that level has probably been achieved.

A201, The dominant yellow thinks the whole tank is his territory and beats up on nearly all the other yellows. Leaves damsonI alone. Expect this will all change. New fish are breeding size according to supplier. One male to two females. Really fortunate to get them. All 2.5” price. What will happen when fry arrive?

A full sized Red Zebra male should be able to handle a Yellow Lab. If you have enough hardscape maybe a few fry will survive. The rest will be lunch. The DemasonI fry are actually valuable & your LFS might buy them or allow fish credits. Post pics.

I really like my Red & Cobalt Blue Zebras. I'm pretty sure you'll grow to like them too.

Nice pics. Can already see cobalts a little more aggressive than reds

The rustys didn't come well. One female stiff and male listing and staying on bottom. May have to euthanize him. LivingArt says they'll do me right. Still hate to see beautiful fish hurt

Saw 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 20 ppm nitrate since acquiring. 5 day I count. I have overfed since aquiring. Need to nip that in the bud. As the fish grow, I predict it will be nitrates that will drive WC. Hoping One WC a week will suffice. I would love to keep it under 40.

my next purchase will be three red tail Botia. Another $90
