Aye guys, so I have a male Blonde Delta Guppy and when I woke up this morning a chunk of his bottom part of his tail was missing, pretty much a clean cut. He is in a tank with a male tequila sunrise guppy, a male black molly, a male silver lyre tail molly, 2 sunburst wag platys (1 male and 1 female), and 1 female blue wag platy. Could one of these guys have nipped at my delta guppy. My guess would be the tequila guppy because their both male and sometimes male guppies tend to do that. I don't believe it is fin rot, no sign that it is and the damage was sudden.

If it's a clean cut, I'd bet someone bit him.

    Bit off is my guess.

Probably bitten off. I wake up to see guppies with slices or cuts in the tail quite often. I wouldn't worry about it, it should heal with no treatment if it didn't pierce the skin (i.e. if you can't see any flesh). Mine usually heal within a couple of weeks. Of course, if there are any signs of infection or it doesn't seem to be healing then a dose of a general antibiotic and antifungal wouldn't hurt.
