Hello, I just rescued 2 bettas from petsmart. One is a blue crown tail with ammonia burns, fungus, missing scales, and holes in his fins.
The other is a red delta/super delta/half moon double tail with Popeye and almost no caudal. The CT was flaring at the red boy earlier. The red boy is active but CT us not.

Blue boy-

I acclimating him into a small 1.5 right now.
Questions- how so I get rid if the fungus? How do I get rid of the ammonia burns? Are the ammonia burns infected? Should I have any substrate?

Red boy-

He is acclimating to a 1 gallon bowl.
Questions- how do I get rid of the Popeye? How do I stop him from tail biting?

I will get better pics once acclimated. The tanks are temporary, just until they are in good condition.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance

clean water, add some aquarium salt and bump the temp to 82F. medicate by instructions if nessisary. have some fresh delchlored water on stand buy and so a 10% water change daily. soak food in garlic.

How can I keep the temp high? I don't have any aquarium salt.

a set temp minI heater or a heat pack in a plastic baggie works.

Ok, I only have one heat pack, who should I use it with? Could I heat up an ice pack?

I think the blue boy has either columnaris or an ammonia burn on his head is infected. Thoughts? The red boy is doing really well. I will ask my mom to pick up some aquarium salt.
