I got 9 bettas so all in differnt ways... My favoutite betta who sadly passed away Galaxy, would "sleap" in his floating log EVERY night. My females all sleep in decor. Jupiter sleeps in his plants. Splash like sleeping on top of the sponge filter. Mercury sleeps on and under his Indian Almond Leafs. They all have their own special ways of sleeping.

One of my betta, Gillbert once slept like he was dead. At the bottom against the divider, on his side, fins draped out across the gravel and unresponsive. Shook the divider, no response. Did that several times, still no response. Poked with a pipette, same thing. He was old when I bought him, so I thought it was his time. Was about to manuver the pipette to fish his body out the corner he was in, but he sprung back to life and gave me a scare. When he really is dead, I might just think he's just playing and leave him in to pollute the waters and poison my other betta to death.

my new one likes to hide behind the driftwood in the crypts and java fern at the bottom of the back of the tank. I think. I can never find him, and then after a few seconds he suddenly appears out of nowhere.
i've caught him sleeping in his floating betta log maybe once.

My halfmoon slept in his favorite log, a long one right by my bed. It was so cute. He actually spent a lot of time there in his final months.
My plakat on the other hand....I don't think that fool knows what sleep is.

Boris likes to prop himself between a leaf and the glass. When he's not sleeping like that, he's snoozing away on the substrate deep in the jungle.
