Hi. I've had a Betta for almost 2 years now in a Fluval 2.5 gallon (which I realize is on the small side). It has a clay cave with no sharp edges and some Anubias tied to it. Temp 78 degrees. Parameters 0/0/5. Weekly 30% water changes. His fins became town shortly after we got him. I removed another cave with sharp edges but his fins remain torn (although clean with no signs of finrot). The only thing in the tank that I think may shred his fins are the Anubias roots, which have become pretty robust. I was thinking of removing the Anubias and replacing it with Anacharis or some other plant that is soft and won't develop large roots. Any thoughts before I do this?
Thanks,
