Betta Ventral Fins Turning Red!

My Betta fish's Ventral fins are turning red on the inside.
So I've had my Betta fish for around a year and a half, I didn't fully know how to take care of him for about a year (1 gallon tank, cold water).
So recently I've done a lot of research and when I took him with me to college I got him a 3.5 gallon tank with a heater. He's always been kinda blackish blue, darker on his slow moving days. After he's been in the tank for a couple of days he has started changing colour. He is bluer than usual and his Ventral fins have started turning red. He is still super active and his fins seem to stand more than they did in his previous tank, I'm just not sure if all this change is good/normal.
What can I do to help him?

Just his colouring. Nothing to worry about.

It means that he's thriving in his new environment, and you should start to notice an increase in his vibrance as time goes forward. Congrats!

Most male bettas will have red or get red on their pelvic fins. Totally normal coloration.
