Betta Tank Set Up?

Hello, so I have this tank cycled with a Betta in it.



It’s more tall than it is wide/deep. My husband was wondering if it’s suitable to be divided into halves for a second male Betta in it? Or will it be too small/tall for each Betta?

 

Honestly with those dimensions it's not very big for 1 betta, I definitely wouldn't divide it. It only holds about 7 gallons and the dimensions are not ideal.

I wouldn't devide it but its perfectly fine for one Betta

 

Thanks! I have been trying to tell him that it’s not a tank that can be divided, firstly because it’s a tall tank so it won’t be suitable. I just needed advice from outside.

 

You could always get another tank? Or even a 20 gallon long which could be divided....

(Totally not promoting multiple tank syndrome here)

 

Lol I already have two tanks and I keep telling myself I’m not allowed any more! I think that’s why he wanted to divide that tank, because it would be like having a brand new tank... I am considering selling the one pictured and getting another tank that’s longer to divide
