Hey! Thank you to everyone for the support about my betta questions! It's finally happening! I know some of you have 150-gallon tanks and reef tanks, but properly setting up my first 5.5-gallon betta tank is an accomplishment for me! I have a list of what I specifically bought if you're curious. I am pretty sure letting the tank cycle for a week is ok? I also added Quickstart. Let me know! I super glued Anubias to driftwood and will add flourish, Excel, and root tabs! here's a list of everything!

A week isn't very long. It can takes weeks to months to properly establish a cycle.

You should get API liquid test kits, as those are the most accurate.
Ok! Thanks

If you're using quick start you need to put the fish in right away and then dose regularly as directed on the bottle.

I prefer Fluval's safe start personally.
