Betta Suddenly Active Different

Just mix it with the water. Good he's feeling better. If your filter gets gunky, just rinse it with drained aquarium water during water changes. If the instructions don't say to do water changes don't do them. Did you get
Seachem Prime? If you didn't, you need to. If you want your tank to cycle so you don't have to change water every other day, you need ammonia in the water. Prime will protect your Betta from low levels of ammonia.
I've never heard of Seachem Prime! I'll look into it.

Question: With fin rot... He'll be on his third round of Kanaplex tonight. He's still floating at the top. I've seen him trying to go down, but he can't because his fins are so small. I've noticed he has lost a lot of fins since treatment - is it just that the fin was already rotted so it had to fall off and then new fin will grow? I do see a little - and I mean little - bit of clear white on some of the tips. It can't be fungal as I've done the Jungle Clear AND then moved on to Kanaplex, right?!

Also, the water parameters are the same as before. He's still eating. I plan on doing a 25% water change before treatment. I don't see him swimming erratically. Thanks!

Okay. I suggested Prime -in my 5th and 6th post!
Finish up the Kanaplex treatment, then just keep the tank clean with water changes to keep ammonia + nitrites less than 1.0. Prime is a dechlorinator as well as an ammonia/nitrite neutralizer so use it instead of your water conditioner and Stresscoat while your tank is cycling. Read all replies you receive carefully so you don't miss stuff k?

Eeek - I apologize. I’m just getting overwhelmed with all the medicines and performing all these treatments with minimal results. I just want to know it’s working. Thanks again.

No problem! It's kind of like going to the batting cage and having pitches coming at you from 5 different directions lol!
